ALUMNI RATING

This was my second small group workshop and it didn’t disappoint. In crowded National Parks, once again, Vieri showed the high level of preparation and planning that goes into each workshop as went to incredible locations not as common in the park. And those famous locations? Vieri found his own path to explore them with fewer people (often none) and better photographic opportunities. Educational, fun, well executed and a wonderful way to explore and photograph the many unique landscapes in Death Valley. I look forward to my next workshop!

THE SOUTHWEST USA

A TEMPLE TO THE EARTH

I started exploring and photographing the Southwest USA in 2010, during the one-month trip that inspired me to become a professional landscape photographer, and I have been back many times since. Few areas around the World offer such a number of incredible locations so relatively close together, all iconic and visually powerful. Few areas of the world have been immortalised in movies and photographs to such an extent and yet are still full of undiscovered locations and places where you can photograph incredible, otherworldly landscapes and be by yourself for hundreds of miles on end. Since my first visit, the Southwest USA’s landscapes got an indelible place in my heart, and every time I go back my soul feels right where it belongs.

After running 6 Workshops in The Southwest USA, in 2025 we retired this Workshop to dedicate our energies to exploring and adding new amazing destinations and locations.

DESIGNING THE WORKSHOP

Designing your Southwest USA Photography Workshop, leveraging on over a decade of experience leading more than 110 Workshops, 6 of which in the Southwest USA, I focussed on the challenging task of creating new interpretations of these iconic locations that we all know and love, adding to our comprehensive Portfolio of locations some much less known ones, places where almost anybody ever goes but are equally as amazing.

THE LOCATIONS

OVER 30 INSPIRING LOCATIONS

During our 9 days of Southwest USA Photography Workshop, we will have over 30 locations available for you between iconic ones such as Monument Valley, Arches, Mesa Arch in Canyonlands, Grand Canyon, Horseshoe Bend and more, and my secret ones that almost nobody knows about, all selected both for their inspiring power and for their artistic and technical photographic challenges.

THE SOUTHWEST USA | NO CROWDS + YOUR VISION

Whether we will photograph iconic locations or less explored ones, you will never go home with the same images as everyone else. Thanks to our knowledge of the locations, my artistic and technical tutoring and our limited attendance of just 3 people, during our Workshop I will keep you away from the crowds and help you bring your vision to life in the most effective way.

DETAILED LOCATION LIST

To make the most out of your time with us, I always select our shooting locations each day according to that day’s weather. For image tagging and for your record, once the Workshop is over it will be my pleasure to provide you with a detailed list of all the locations we actually photographed, arranged by dates and sessions.

PHOTOGRAPHIC LEVEL & TUTORING

PHOTOGRAPHIC LEVEL

All our Workshops are open to everyone, from beginners to professionals. No matter what your level is, thanks to our trademark maximum attendance of 3 people during our Workshops you will always have enough 1-1 time with me to make the most out of your experience.

TUTORING PHILOSOPHY

My unique tutoring style is the result of over 30 years of experience teaching in 1-1 and group settings. As a tutor, I strongly believe in fostering individuality, in helping you developing your style rather than imposing you mine and in sharing everything I know without holding anything back.

I believe that helping you face and solve together as many artistic and technical photographic challenges as possible during our Workshop is the most effective way to help you strengthen your technique and your vision both to make the most out of your time with us and, most importantly, to help you continue your growth when you are back home working without a tutor.

IMAGE REVIEW & PORTFOLIO SELECTION

Unique to our Workshops, our trademark image reviews sessions are a fundamental moment to share with you my technical and artistic tips to improve the images you took, to offer you pointers for our next sessions in the field and to help you choose the best images for your Portfolio.

POST-PROCESSING

In the digital era, post-processing is a fundamental and extremely powerful step of the image creation process. During our Workshop, I will walk you through my post-processing workflow, demonstrating clearly all the tools I use to go from shooting to a classy, powerful and striking image in a few simple steps.
