At Vieri Bottazzini Workshops, your safety is our first priority. Always. Zeynep and I take pride in preparing our Workshops in painstaking detail, from organisation and logistics to the choice of our shooting locations, to minimise any possible risk. Nothing is left to chance so that you can enjoy the safest, most rewarding and most enjoyable photographic and learning experience with us!
This is how we put all our experience and expertise at your safety's service:
We believe that our perfect knowledge of all the locations we will photograph together is your first and best safety measure. This is why we invest years in thoroughly exploring and knowing all destinations visited during our Workshops. This way, not only we can take you to the best places at the best time to photograph them, but more importantly we will know any location’s possible dangers beforehand and make sure you will avoid them.
Resulting from years invested in developing a destination for a Workshop, our perfect knowledge of all locations will ensure you that you will be able to concentrate on creating your best photographs without having to worry about your own safety.
No photograph is worth risking an injury, or worse. There just is no point in taking the best photograph ever, if taking it means that you will not be there to enjoy it. During our Workshops, we will not let you put yourself in harm’s way. Just trust our perfect knowledge of all Workshop locations and of their possible dangers, listen to our safety recommendations, do not take unnecessary risks and enjoy your photography!
In the outdoors, tiredness is one of the main causes of accidents and injuries. Thanks to our perfect knowledge of the locations, you can be sure that we will always choose the best route according to your physical conditions to get you to our shooting locations and back as safely, as quickly and as rested as possible.
The years we invested in exploring and thoroughly scouting all our Workshops’ destinations ensure you that for each Workshop we will have enough alternate locations available to suit your physical conditions, all inspiring enough for you to create photographs you will be proud of.
Our perfect knowledge of all Workshop locations ensures you that we will always know how to get you to any location and back. I am old enough to have learned how to navigate the outdoors using paper maps and reading the environment around me. While this makes sure that we will not need to rely on technology to find our way home, at the same time it does not mean that we are not taking full advantage of the best technologies available today. During all our Workshops we will have state-of-the-art GPS navigation devices to make sure we will always find our way home, no matter what.
During our Workshops, both Zeynep and I always carry a SPOT satellite safety device, to make sure that we always have a way to be found and rescued no matter what might have happened to us and where we might be (usage fees apply).
I am a professional photographer, not a doctor, and neither is Zeynep. In the unlikely case of any problems, you can be sure that we will do our best to get you to professional help as quick as possible. However, for your safety, during all our Workshops we always carry a First Aid Kit and are trained to assist you with first aid.
