As a Fine Art landscape photographer, I work very hard to portray the beauty of planet Earth. The Earth is not just our only source of life, it is our never-ending source of inspiration, and I am fully committed to protect it to make sure that this source will never end.
Nowadays, people travel like they never did in the course of human history. Traveling is a fundamental cultural experience, one that uniquely enriches our minds and souls. However, all the traveling we do threatens some of the planet's greatest landscapes and areas of natural beauty in a way that is also unprecedented in human history. As photographers, we contribute in no small part to this threat, and I believe we should reflect upon our impact on the environment and do our best to minimise it.
As a business, Zeynep and I believe that our commitment to preserve the environment must turn into action. Between June 2019 and December 2023, for four and a half years Vieri Bottazzini Workshops has been a Proud Partner of Eden Reforestation Projects, an organisation active in reforestation and reducing poverty in less developed areas of the World, committing part of our Workshops’ fees to offset the carbon footprint you created when joining one of our Workshops.
Over the years, together we funded the planting of 56.500 trees, a small forest!
Besides our former partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects, Vieri Bottazzini Workshops is a long time Proud Member of Nature First – The Alliance for Responsible Nature Photography, and Proud Partner of the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. By joining one of our Workshops, you help us protect the environment by following the Nature First Principles and the Leave No Trace Principles, contributing to our support to these organisations as well.
Joining one of our Workshops you agree to help us protect the environment by following the Seven Principles of Nature First Photography:
1. Prioritise the well-being of nature over photography
2. Educate yourself about the places you photograph
3. Reflect on the possible impact of your actions
4. Use discretion if sharing locations
5. Know and follow rules and regulations
6. Always follow Leave No Trace principles, strive to leave places better than you found them
7. Actively promote and educate others about these principles
