ALUMNI RATING

On Skye, we went to different locations for all our shoots. All areas were very beautiful, and all were carefully selected based on our wishes and the weather forecast. Different locations to different weather situations – all worked out for us and carefully selected to give us the best possible captures! After almost a week together in Scotland my friend and I had already booked the next trip together with Vieri!

GLENCOE & ISLE OF SKYE

THE TIMELESS BEAUTY OF SCOTTISH LANDSCAPES

I have been exploring and photographing Glencoe & Isle of Skye for over 15 years now, going back every year since my first visit in 2009, and their powerful, magical and ancestral-looking landscapes instantly felt like a home of the soul to me. Besides the iconic locations we all know, Glencoe & Isle of Skye offer an abundance of hidden, incredibly inspiring locations making them one of my all-time favourite destinations. From grand vistas to minimalism, from revisiting iconic locations to endlessly discovering new ones, Glencoe & Isle of Skye have it all. I immediately fell in love with the stark, austere and moody beauty of Glencoe & Isle of Skye and no matter how many times I have been there, every time I go back, I find new inspirations and shooting locations!

DESIGNING THE WORKSHOP

Designing your Glencoe & Isle of Skye Photography Workshop, leveraging on over a decade of experience leading more than 110 Workshops, 14 of which in Glencoe & Isle of Skye so far, I created a comprehensive Portfolio featuring a mix of landscapes and seascapes showcasing the beauty of Scotland in winter, when the weather complements the landscapes perfectly and snow on the peaks brings tridimensionality and depth to them.

During this Workshop, I am looking forward to putting at your service all the years dedicated to exploring and photographing Glencoe & Isle of Skye, together with my extensive tutoring expertise, for a truly unique, unforgettable and photographically inspiring learning experience!

THE LOCATIONS

OVER 30 INSPIRING LOCATIONS

During our 8 days of Glencoe & Isle of Skye Photography Workshop, we will have over 30 locations available between iconic ones such as Buachaille Etive Mor and the Three Sisters in Glencoe, the Old Man of Storr, Neist Point and the Quiraing on Skye, and more, and my secret ones that almost nobody knows about, all selected for their inspiring power and their artistic and technical photographic challenges.

GLENCOE & ISLE OF SKYE | NO CROWDS + YOUR VISION

Whether we will photograph iconic locations or less explored ones, you will never go home with the same images as everyone else. Thanks to our knowledge of the locations, my artistic and technical tutoring and our limited attendance of just 3 people, during our Workshop I will keep you away from the crowds and help you bring your vision to life in the most effective way.

DETAILED LOCATION LIST

To make the most out of your time with us, I always select our shooting locations each day according to that day’s weather. For image tagging and for your record, once the Workshop is over it will be my pleasure to provide you with a detailed list of all the locations we actually photographed, arranged by dates and sessions.

PHOTOGRAPHIC LEVEL & TUTORING

PHOTOGRAPHIC LEVEL

All our Workshops are open to everyone, from beginners to professionals. No matter what your level is, thanks to our trademark maximum attendance of 3 people during our Workshops you will always have enough 1-1 time with me to make the most out of your experience.

TUTORING PHILOSOPHY

My unique tutoring style is the result of over 30 years of experience teaching in 1-1 and group settings. As a tutor, I strongly believe in fostering individuality, in helping you developing your style rather than imposing you mine and in sharing everything I know without holding anything back.

I believe that helping you face and solve together as many artistic and technical photographic challenges as possible during our Workshop is the most effective way to help you strengthen your technique and your vision both to make the most out of your time with us and, most importantly, to help you continue your growth when you are back home working without a tutor.

IMAGE REVIEW & PORTFOLIO SELECTION

Unique to our Workshops, our trademark image reviews sessions are a fundamental moment to share with you my technical and artistic tips to improve the images you took, to offer you pointers for our next sessions in the field and to help you choose the best images for your Portfolio.

POST-PROCESSING

In the digital era, post-processing is a fundamental and extremely powerful step of the image creation process. During our Workshop, I will walk you through my post-processing workflow, demonstrating clearly all the tools I use to go from shooting to a classy, powerful and striking image in a few simple steps.

OUR ALUMNI SAY IT BEST!

Below you will find one random Testimonial together with some backstage images from our Glencoe & Isle of Skye Photography Workshops. Check out our GLENCOE & ISLE OF SKYE WORKSHOP REPORT to read all about our 14 previous Workshops there and get inspired by our Alumni's Testimonials & photographs!

An absolutely brilliant workshop in Glencoe and the Isle of Skye. Vieri and Zeynep are a fabulous team, and the work they have put in over years to explore and understand the locations has really paid off. They always know the safe routes to follow in the dark, always have a backup location if the weather fails, and they know the positions and angles that can dramatically change the character and meaning of the final image!
