As educators, both Vieri and Zeynep were perfect workshop facilitators. Having attended many workshops over the years, I can confidently say that this Faroe Islands experience set the benchmark for how a truly professional photography workshop should be conducted!
When I started exploring the Faroe Islands, I expected to find just those few iconic vistas we see from everyone else. Instead, the Faroe Islands proved to be full of surprisingly diverse photographic inspiration, and what makes them even better is that they are almost still completely untapped by photographers. Rugged, majestic, wild and primordial looking, with their mix of natural and man-influenced landscapes the Faroe Islands offer incredibly inspiring subjects, ranging from classic iconic vistas to more intimate, minimalistic landscapes. I immediately fell in love with the Faroe Islands, returning multiple times since my first visit. Despite dedicating months to their incredible landscapes, driving every road and hiking almost every path, I feel like I have just started scratching the surface of what the Faroe Islands have to offer photographically, and I am always longing to go back for more!
Designing your Faroe Islands Residency, leveraging on over a decade of experience leading more than 110 Workshops, 8 of which on the Faroe Islands so far, I created a completely new, “vertical” Workshop concept covering everything you will need to know, from photographing iconic locations in a personal way to finding and developing your own, from working in the field to editing and processing your photographs, to creating a Portfolio.

My week on the Faroe Islands workshop with Vieri and Zeynep exceeded expectations and delivered exactly what was promised. Passionate about the outdoors, Vieri believes in honouring the majestic power of our planet’s beauty by creating his iconic images using unadulterated photography only. Through his unique black & white and subtly post-processed colour images, Vieri tells stories about the relationship between nature and mankind, exploring the concepts of time and of the surreal.
Vieri’s Fine Art work has been displayed in solo and collective exhibitions, viewed millions of times on social media and featured on leading publications such as Medium Format Magazine, LEMAG, Elements-Landscape Photography Magazine and more.
A passionate teacher with over 30 years of experience, Vieri leads truly limited attendance 3-people Workshops in places like Iceland, The Faroe Islands, Scotland, Ireland, England, the USA, Italy, France and Spain, where he fully shares his knowledge and his artistry with his Alumni. Vieri’s diverse and vast Portfolio is the culmination of over 15 years of passion, love and craftsmanship, of months spent on the road every year, of hundreds of kilometres of hikes and most of all, of a lifetime’s devotion to the arts.
