I have been visiting the Dolomites since my childhood, and I started exploring and photographing them in depth in 2017. The Dolomites are home to some of the most spectacular and inspiring mountain landscapes on the planet, their power cannot be denied and my relationship with their landscapes is one of awe and respect. Year after year, I kept developing my photographic connection with the Dolomites, always discovering new inspirations. The more I explore and discover them, the more photographing the Dolomites feels like embarking on an awe-inspiring journey to the top of Europe, a journey I am always looking forward to going back to!
Designing your The Dolomites Photography Workshops has been great fun! Leveraging on over a decade of experience leading more than 110 Workshops, 9 of which on the Dolomites so far, I enjoyed creating a comprehensive Portfolio featuring the most iconic, dramatic mountain landscapes of the area paired with more serene, peaceful lakes and rivers, to offer you a wide range of different and inspiring shooting situations.

Vieri Bottazzini is an acclaimed Italian Fine Art landscape photographer, writer and educator, with a personal style rooted in pure photographic craftsmanship. Passionate about the outdoors, Vieri believes in honouring the majestic power of our planet’s beauty by creating his iconic images using unadulterated photography only. Through his unique black & white and subtly post-processed colour images, Vieri tells stories about the relationship between nature and mankind, exploring the concepts of time and of the surreal.

A passionate teacher with over 30 years of experience, Vieri leads truly limited attendance 3-people Workshops in places like Iceland, The Faroe Islands, Scotland, Ireland, England, the USA, Italy, France and Spain, where he fully shares his knowledge and his artistry with his Alumni. Vieri’s diverse and vast Portfolio is the culmination of over 15 years of passion, love and craftsmanship, of months spent on the road every year, of hundreds of kilometres of hikes and most of all, of a lifetime’s devotion to the arts.
