What a pleasure to join Vieri and Zeynep in a new destination. Despite the fact that this was the first time this workshop had been run, all the trademark Vieri characteristics were there: the extensive list of inspiring locations, making each day productive regardless of what the weather threw at us; the gentle style of tutoring that helps you to find a better way of looking at a scene; and the meticulously researched restaurants (the chorizo hash, consumed after a particularly wet morning, was a standout). I particularly appreciated the fact the workshop used just two hotels, reducing the amount of packing and unpacking. Highly recommended!
My love story with Ireland and its inspiring landscapes started when I first travelled there in the early 1990s. Fascinated by Ireland’s beautiful nature and rich history, when I decided to dedicate my life to landscape photography Ireland was one of the first places my wife and I explored and photographed, dedicating it a monthlong trip in 2012. The Irish landscapes, both around its rugged, uniquely shaped coasts and inland, are varied and inspiring. The weather, with its moody, dramatic skies and powerful oceans, is a main character of a story that instantly and profoundly resonated with me. Over the years, I came back multiple times dedicating months to exploring and photographing Ireland, a destination that should feature in every landscape photographer’s list of dream places to go to. The more I photograph it, the more I am looking forward to going back for more. Now, after a first, hugely successful Workshop in 2026, I can’t wait to share it with you in 2027!

Vieri Bottazzini is an acclaimed Italian Fine Art landscape photographer, writer and educator, with a personal style rooted in pure photographic craftsmanship. Passionate about the outdoors, Vieri believes in honouring the majestic power of our planet’s beauty by creating his iconic images using unadulterated photography only. Through his unique black & white and subtly post-processed colour images, Vieri tells stories about the relationship between nature and mankind, exploring the concepts of time and of the surreal.

A passionate teacher with over 30 years of experience, Vieri leads truly limited attendance 3-people Workshops in places like Iceland, The Faroe Islands, Scotland, Ireland, England, the USA, Italy, France and Spain, where he fully shares his knowledge and his artistry with his Alumni. Vieri’s diverse and vast Portfolio is the culmination of over 15 years of passion, love and craftsmanship, of months spent on the road every year, of hundreds of kilometres of hikes and most of all, of a lifetime’s devotion to the arts.
