Vieri’s previously chosen locations were landscape wonders, in all cases representing the interaction between man and nature, giving us the possibility of expressing our visions either keeping this element in mind or not. Let’s not forget our base camp, Comacchio, also a wonderful little city with beautiful canals and bridges, a “small medieval Venice”.

I have been exploring and photographing the moody, melancholic and deeply touching landscapes of Comacchio since 2012, going back multiple times since. Centuries of man-made activity combined with the forces of nature resulted in incredibly inspiring landscapes, perfectly suited for minimalist and conceptual photography, making Comacchio one of my favourite destinations ever for my personal work. Comacchio’s landscapes may feel still and immutable, but the forces of nature are constantly, silently and rapidly at work changing them, making each visit full of surprises. More, Comacchio is practically unknown and unspoiled by landscape photographers, making it an ideal destination to create powerful, personal work in peace. The foggy, moody winter weather of the Po’s Delta region completes the magic appeal of these landscapes, making Comacchio a must for lovers of minimalist landscape photography!
Designing your Minimalism in Comacchio Residency, leveraging on over a decade of experience leading more than 110 Workshops, 5 of which in Comacchio so far, I created a completely new, “vertical” Workshop concept covering everything you will need to know, from photographing any given location in a personal way to finding and developing your own, from working in the field to editing and processing your photographs, to creating a Portfolio.
All our years of experience and exploration of the intimate, touching landscapes of Comacchio and the river Po’s delta will make sure that we will have a wealth of location, locations we will have the time to revisit as much as needed to help you create a strong, original Portfolio showcasing your vision of these minimalist landscapes in the best possible way.
Never changing hotel will give us the opportunity to do advanced post-processing sessions every day and edit your photographs, whether digital or film, to get the most of their potential while staying true to your vision, and I will offer you unique insights on how I create my personal work, develop and edit it.

Vieri’s knowledge of the Comacchio landscape led us to places that most people would never get to experience. His attention to every detail of the workshop meant that we always had several backup locations to go to for times when the weather wasn’t cooperating – or when it presented unique opportunities. Through his unique black & white and subtly post-processed colour images, Vieri tells stories about the relationship between nature and mankind, exploring the concepts of time and of the surreal.

A passionate teacher with over 30 years of experience, Vieri leads truly limited attendance 3-people Workshops in places like Iceland, The Faroe Islands, Scotland, Ireland, England, the USA, Italy, France and Spain, where he fully shares his knowledge and his artistry with his Alumni. Vieri’s diverse and vast Portfolio is the culmination of over 15 years of passion, love and craftsmanship, of months spent on the road every year, of hundreds of kilometres of hikes and most of all, of a lifetime’s devotion to the arts.
