WORKSHOP ON THE ISLE OF SKYE AND GLENCOE 2019

A MASTER SERIES WORKSHOP
MARCH 17-23, 2019 | MAXIMUM THREE PARTICIPANTS

Join us to develop your vision, master your landscape photography technique and perfect your post-processing skills with this Workshop on the Isle of Skye and Glencoe, while creating striking photographs of some the most iconic, unique and spectacular Scottish landscapes!

Loving, exploring and photographing Scotland for a decade now, next spring I’ll put my extensive knowledge of the wonderful Scottish landscapes at your service to photograph them at their best.

In March 2019, together we will photograph under a new light the Isle of Skye and Glencoe’s most iconic landmarks, such as the Old Man of Storr, Neist Point and Elgol on Skye and Buachaille Etive Mor, the Three Sisters and Glen Etive in Glencoe. As well, I’ll bring you to discover the Isle of Skye’s more unexplored coves, bays and secret spots that, to me, are what make Skye a really unique destination for landscape photography.

Mid-March is a great time of the year to be in Scotland: the light is beautiful, the weather is relatively dry and the dreadful midges are still asleep in diapause. Thanks to the ever-changing Scottish weather, during this Workshop great light isn’t limited to sunrise and sunset: with constantly changing skies and fast-moving clouds, the whole day offers spectacular photographic opportunities!

If you are looking for an even more exclusive, tailor-made Workshop on the Isle of Skye and in Glencoe, choose my WORKSHOP ONE-ON-ONE ON THE ISLE OF SKYE or my WORKSHOP ONE-ON-ONE IN GLENCOE AND GLEN ETIVE, which can be combined together for an even more rewarding trip: organised on demand, completely tailor-made on your level and requirements, my Workshop One-on-One are the top choice among my Workshops!

THE ISLE OF SKYE AND GLENCOE ALUMNI’S COMMENTS

Vieri demonstrated his post-processing techniques to bring out the best in our raw captures step-by-step, so we could take that knowledge and apply it on our own at home.

During this Workshop on the Isle of Skye and Glencoe, we will spend four nights in Portree on the Isle of Skye and two nights in Glencoe in quality B&B. Due to the unpredictability of Scottish weather, a detailed daily program with precise timing and locations will be announced day by day during the Workshop. A typical day would run like this:

– Sunrise photography session, arriving on location 30-45 minutes before sunrise
– Back to the B&B for breakfast
– Image review, selection and post-processing session, working together on developing your Portfolio
– Lunch
– On location for our afternoon and sunset photography sessions
– Dinner

The broad daily schedule above may vary according to the locations visited on a particular day, depending on whether we are traveling or not, depending on weather conditions, and such.

LEICA AMBASSADOR | FORMATT-HITECH AMBASSADOR | ABIPP EP

Vieri Bottazzini (Italy, 2016)

Vieri Bottazzini (Italy, 2016)

A musician by training and a self-taught photographer, I am Leica Ambassador, Leica Akademie Italy instructor and Formatt-Hitech Ambassador, as well as Qualified Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photography (ABIPP) and European Photographer (EP). After a two-decades long career as a solo artist in classical music, since 2010 I moved from interpreting a musical score to interpreting the world’s most spectacular landscapes through my camera: combining my lifelong passion for photography with my love for nature and the wilderness, I decided to dedicate myself exclusively to Fine Art Landscape photography.

With 25 years of teaching on my back, I firmly believe that Workshops are the best way to share my enthusiasm for photography and for the Earth’s beauty with like-minded people. My favourite destinations are Iceland, Scotland, Spain, the United Kingdom, the American Southwest, Turkey and, of course, Italy where I settled in 2014 after living 15 years abroad.

My work has been published and exhibited internationally and is part of various private collections. When I am not around the world photographing, teaching Workshops, lecturing or adjudicating competitions, I work on my photographs, prepare my Fine Art prints and write reviews and articles about photography.
