ICELAND SPRING 2019 PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

A MASTER SERIES WORKSHOP
MARCH 1-9, 2019 | MAXIMUM THREE PARTICIPANTS

Join us to develop your vision, master your landscape photography technique and perfect your post-processing abilities with the Spring 2019 edition of my Workshop in Iceland, while creating unforgettable photographs of the iconic, spellbinding Icelandic landscapes!

Iceland is every landscape photographer’s dream. The island’s landscapes, first created by ice and fire during millennia of geologic violent events and then shaped by the forces of erosion, are unique and impressive in any season, under any light and any weather. In early spring, they offer a unique mix of wintry and summer conditions, making them ever-changing and very beautiful.

In March 2019, I’ll put my extensive knowledge of Iceland at your service to photograph together this incredible land: from the most iconic locations such as Kirkjufellsfoss and Jokulsarlon to the most impressive waterfalls such as Skogafoss, Svartifoss and more, from black beaches to ice sculptures and geysers, from Vestrahorn to Eystrahorn, together we’ll photograph some of the most incredible landscapes on the planet!

ICE CAVE TOUR Ice conditions and weather permitting, we’ll enjoy an incredible, unique Ice Cave Tour (tour fee not included in Workshop’s fee).

NORTHERN LIGHTS Promising the Northern Lights is impossible: nobody can claim to control the weather. However, if conditions allow we will most definitely go out to photograph them!

Early March is a great time to be in Iceland: the light is wonderful, the skies are clear, the weather is not as cold anymore and the day starts to become longer again, offering more opportunities to photograph the beauty of these incredible, wild landscapes. Thanks to the variability of Atlantic weather, great light is not limited to sunrise and sunset: the fast-changing skies and the rapidly moving clouds offer spectacular photographic opportunities all day long!

If you are looking for an even more exclusive, tailor-made Workshop in Iceland, choose my WORKSHOP ONE-ON-ONE IN ICELAND: organised on demand, completely tailor-made on your level and requirements, my Workshop One-on-One are the top choice among my Workshops!

VIERI BOTTAZZINI

LEICA AMBASSADOR | FORMATT-HITECH FEATURED ARTIST | ABIPP EP

Vieri Bottazzini (Italy, 2016)

Vieri Bottazzini (Italy, 2016)

A musician by training and a self-taught photographer, I am Leica Ambassador, Leica Akademie Italy instructor and Formatt-Hitech Featured Artist, as well as Qualified Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photography (ABIPP) and European Photographer (EP). Starting April 2018, I am Artistic Director of “The Art of Landscape”, a joint project with ImagOrbetello Photography Festival dedicated to Fine Art landscape photography.

During a two-decades long career as a solo artist in classical music, in the early 2000’s I started working as a professional photographer, photographing mostly musicians, from classical to rock and pop stars, and actors. My work has been published by Rolling Stones, Cosmo, Trendsetter and Abitare among others. As well, while living in Istanbul I worked intensely with street photography, and thanks to this work I got my first solo exhibitions, in Italy, Turkey and Finland.

Since 2010, I moved for good from interpreting a musical score to interpreting the world’s most spectacular landscapes through my camera: combining my lifelong passion for photography with my love for nature and the wilderness, I decided to dedicate myself exclusively to Fine Art landscape photography. Since then, my Fine Art work has been published and exhibited internationally and is part of various private collections.

With 25 years of teaching on my back, I firmly believe that Workshops are the best way to share my enthusiasm for photography and for the Earth’s beauty with like-minded people. My favourite destinations are Iceland, Scotland, Spain, England, the American Southwest, Turkey and, of course, Italy where I settled in 2014 after living 15 years abroad.

When I am not around the world photographing, teaching Workshops, lecturing or adjudicating competitions, I work on my photographs, prepare my Fine Art prints and write reviews and articles about photography.
