DEATH VALLEY 2019 (1) PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

A MASTER SERIES WORKSHOP
FEBRUARY 7-11, 2019 | MAXIMUM THREE PARTICIPANTS

IMPORTANT! My Workshop schedule got too busy to keep offering all my locations every year: from now on, I will offer them on a rotation. Therefore, after 3 years of yearly Master Series Workshop in Death Valley and despite my huge love for the Valley, with regret I will NOT schedule a Master Series Workshop in Death Valley in 2020 and in 2021. To compensate for that absence, I am offering TWO Master Series Workshops in Death Valley in 2019: the one you are looking at, and my WORKSHOP IN DEATH VALLEY (2) for alternative dates. Don’t miss these unique opportunities to explore and photograph together Death Valley: my Master Series Workshop in Death Valley will not be back until 2022!

Of course, my WORKSHOP ONE-ON-ONE IN DEATH VALLEY will be available in 2020 and 2021 as well – looking forward to welcoming you in Death Valley!

DEATH VALLEY WORKSHOP ONE-ON-ONE ONE

My Workshop in Death Valley are fully permitted by Death Valley National Park: for your safety and to fully enjoy your time in Death Valley, always choose a permitted Workshop!

One of my favourite locations in the world for photography, Death Valley’s amazing landscapes are without equal anywhere in the World: what makes the Valley even more inspiring and photographically rewarding is the variety of very different landscapes and features concentrated in such a relatively small area.

In February 2019, I’ll put my extensive knowledge of Death Valley at your service to make the most of it. Join us to find the best spots in Badwater Basin and the Devil’s Golf Course, to photograph Zabriskie Point from an original viewpoint, to know where the best of the Racetrack’s amazing Sailing Stones are and what to photograph in the vast flats of Cottonball Marsh, and to find the best, cleanest of Mesquite’s sand dunes.

The mild temperatures and the haze-free skies make winter the best season to experience Death Valley in all its beauty, and the possibility of rain creates unique opportunities to see the Valley’s landscapes under a completely different disguise. Death Valley’s spellbinding landscapes are the best location to develop your vision and improve your photography and post-processing technique while creating unforgettable photographs of some of the most unique landscapes in the World!

If you are looking for an even more exclusive, tailor-made Workshop in Death Valley, choose my WORKSHOP ONE-ON-ONE IN DEATH VALLEY, which will still be available in 2020 and 2021: organised on demand, completely tailor-made on your level and requirements, my Workshops One-on-One are the top choice among my Workshops!

VIERI BOTTAZZINI

LEICA AMBASSADOR | FORMATT-HITECH FEATURED ARTIST | ABIPP EP

Vieri Bottazzini (Italy, 2016)

Vieri Bottazzini (Italy, 2016)

Musician by training and lifetime long photographer, I am Certified by Leica and Formatt-Hitech Featured Artist, as well as Qualified Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photography (ABIPP) and European Photographer (EP). Starting April 2018, I am Artistic Director of “The Art of Landscape”, a joint project with ImagOrbetello Photography Festival dedicated to Fine Art landscape photography.

During a two-decades long career as a solo artist in classical music, in the early 2000’s I started working as a professional photographer, photographing mostly musicians, from classical to rock and pop stars, and actors. My work has been published by Rolling Stones, Cosmo, Trendsetter and Abitare among others. As well, while living in Istanbul I worked intensely with street photography, and thanks to this work I got my first solo exhibitions, in Italy, Turkey and Finland.

Since 2010, I moved for good from interpreting a musical score to interpreting the world’s most spectacular landscapes through my camera: combining my lifelong passion for photography with my love for nature and the wilderness, I decided to dedicate myself exclusively to Fine Art landscape photography. Since then, my Fine Art work has been published and exhibited internationally and is part of various private collections.

With 25 years of teaching on my back, I firmly believe that Workshops are the best way to share my enthusiasm for photography and for the Earth’s beauty with like-minded people. My favourite destinations are Iceland, Scotland, Spain, England, the American Southwest, Turkey and, of course, Italy where I settled in 2014 after living 15 years abroad.

When I am not around the world photographing, teaching Workshops, lecturing or adjudicating competitions, I work on my photographs, prepare my Fine Art prints and write reviews and articles about photography. Most of all, I keep studying photography every day, amazed by what I still have to learn.
