COMACCHIO AND VENICE 2018 PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

A MASTER SERIES WORKSHOP
NOVEMBER 23-28, 2018 | MAXIMUM THREE PARTICIPANTS

Join us to develop your vision, master your landscape photography technique and perfect your post-processing skills with my Workshop in Comacchio and Venice, while creating unique photographs of the amazing Italian northern East Coast!

Bringing you to explore and photograph Venice and the man-made landscapes of Comacchio’s lagoons, this 6-day Workshop will be an unforgettable photographic and cultural experience.

In November 2018, I’ll put my expert knowledge of Venice and Comacchio’s landscapes at your service, taking you off the beaten path to make the most out of these spectacular locations. The river Po’s Delta’s landscapes are beautiful, melancholy and touching. Since the twelfth century, men created a net of canals, dikes, embankments and dams to control the waters, minimise the destructions brought by the floods and turn the wetlands, lagoons and swamps into usable land. In the process, they profoundly influenced the way the landscape looks today. World-famous, unique, amazing, unforgettable: Venice is all this and more, and doesn’t need any introduction. A city that will forever stay in your heart!

The end of November is the best time to relax while exploring and photographing these great locations: it’s one of the lesser crowded times in Venice, winter light on the lagoon is beautiful, the chances of fog are high and thanks to my expert knowledge of the locations you’ll be able to create original, stunning images of these amazing landscapes!

If you are looking for an even more exclusive, tailor-made Workshop in Italy, choose my WORKSHOP ONE-ON-ONE IN COMACCHIO: organised on demand, completely tailor-made on your level and requirements, my Workshop One-on-One are the top choice among my Workshops!

COMACCHIO AND VENICE’S ALUMNI COMMENTS

During the Workshop I learned a lot simply watching Vieri moving around, looking where he looked, and from the way he interacted with us and with the environment.

VIERI BOTTAZZINI

LEICA AMBASSADOR | FORMATT-HITECH FEATURED ARTIST | ABIPP EP

Vieri Bottazzini (Italy, 2016)

Vieri Bottazzini (Italy, 2016)

A musician by training and a self-taught photographer, I am Leica Ambassador, Leica Akademie Italy instructor and Formatt-Hitech Featured Artist, as well as Qualified Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photography (ABIPP) and European Photographer (EP). Starting April 2018, I am Artistic Director of “The Art of Landscape”, a joint project with ImagOrbetello Photography Festival dedicated to Fine Art landscape photography.

During a two-decades long career as a solo artist in classical music, in the early 2000’s I started working as a professional photographer, photographing mostly musicians, from classical to rock and pop stars, and actors. My work has been published by Rolling Stones, Cosmo, Trendsetter and Abitare among others. As well, while living in Istanbul I worked intensely with street photography, and thanks to this work I got my first solo exhibitions, in Italy, Turkey and Finland.

Since 2010, I moved for good from interpreting a musical score to interpreting the world’s most spectacular landscapes through my camera: combining my lifelong passion for photography with my love for nature and the wilderness, I decided to dedicate myself exclusively to Fine Art landscape photography. Since then, my Fine Art work has been published and exhibited internationally and is part of various private collections.

With 25 years of teaching on my back, I firmly believe that Workshops are the best way to share my enthusiasm for photography and for the Earth’s beauty with like-minded people. My favourite destinations are Iceland, Scotland, Spain, England, the American Southwest, Turkey and, of course, Italy where I settled in 2014 after living 15 years abroad.

When I am not around the world photographing, teaching Workshops, lecturing or adjudicating competitions, I work on my photographs, prepare my Fine Art prints and write reviews and articles about photography.
